Senator Ted Lillie to Run for Re-election to the Minnesota Senate in Senate District 53
(Lake Elmo, MN) After spending some time reviewing the new boundaries which adjusted Senator Ted Lillie’s current senate district, coupled with personal decisions previously made within the Lillie family, Senator Lillie will run for re-election in Senate District 53 in 2012, which encompasses much of his previous district in Woodbury.
“Our family dynamics have changed over the past few years, and Lynne and I have discussed in length moving to Woodbury. I ran in 2010 to serve, and I do not feel that my work in the legislature is done. I am excited to make this move into the new Senate District 53 for our family first, but also for the opportunity to seek re-election,” said Senator Lillie.
Business owner Jack Lanners of Woodbury said, “Senator Lillie has done an incredible job representing the interests of job providers and small businesses in Woodbury and across the state. I’m thrilled that he will work to continue representing us in St. Paul. In an economy that is struggling, and demands on businesses increasing, creating jobs and stability within our workforce is something Ted has championed and will continue to fight for in the legislature.”
Senator Lillie continued, “Presently, we are in the middle of this legislative session and a lot of work needs to be accomplished. I will continue to represent and work for the people who elected me in Woodbury, Lake Elmo, Stillwater and the surrounding communities. I’m looking forward to the SD 53 Republican endorsing convention, and the start of the full campaign season in a few months where I’ll be working hard to meet new members of Senate District 53.”
