Ted H. Lillie along with his cousin, Jeff Enright, are third generation publishers of the Lillie Suburban Newspapers. Lillie Suburban  Newspapers Inc. is St. Paul's oldest and largest weekly newspaper publisher. Distributing 11 award winning weekly newspapers to over 125,000 residents in the St. Paul suburban marketplace.

Ted Lillie has served on the board of many business and community organizations, taking special interest in working to build bridges between businesses and youth in the community. He currently serves on the board of directors of the Healtheast Foundation, The Oakdale Business and Professional Association, Co-Action Academic Resources Foundation and Platinum Bank. Lillie worked to build a coalition of business and school leaders to form Co-Action Academic Resources, an organization providing scholarship opportunities for post-secondary education to residents of North St. Paul, Maplewood, Oakdale, Lake Elmo and Woodbury. Co-Action has coordinated over $500,000 in scholarships that have been awarded to area youth since 2000. He has recently served on the board of the St. Paul Area Chamber of Commerce, School District 622 Education Foundation,  Thrive Youth Asset Building Initiative, the Boy Scouts Gateway District, School to Careers Local Council and has been a catechism teacher and youth mentor at St. Marks Lutheran Church. Lillie was recognized as the North High School Distinguished Alumni of the Year in 2003 for his commitment to community service.  Lillie has also been recognized as the 2008 Business Leader of the Year by the Regional Business Organization Conference and was recognized as a City of Oakdale Outstanding Volunteer during 2002.Ted H. Lillie is a graduate of Gustavus Adolphus College.  

He is married to Dr. Lynne Lillie.  Lynne is a Medical Director at Healtheast's Woodwinds Campus.  Lynne is active in the Minnesota Academy of Family Physicians and the American Academy of Family Physicians and has served as President of the MAFP and on both the state and national board of directors.  Ted and Lynne have two children, Kristina, SBA lender at Highland Bank and graduate student at Hamline University and Theo, who is a student at Northwestern Chiropractic School.
