Your family lives within its financial means and so should your government. Ted will promote fiscal restraint in Saint Paul.  He will work to hold the line on government spending while effectively providing services so that more of our hard earned taxpayer dollars are working in the economy instead of expanding government at a pace which Minnesotans cannot afford.  Government spending in Minnesota is progressing at an unsustainable, irresponsible and reckless pace; we must change direction.

Ted will promote better money management to reduce the size of state government and put more economic power into the hands of the Minnesota workers.   During the past three decades Minnesota?s state and local tax burden has consistently been among the nation's highest. Estimated at 10.2% of income, Minnesota?s state/local tax burden percentage stands at 12th highest nationally, above the national average of 9.7%. Minnesotans pay $4,688 per capita in state and local taxes (The Tax Foundation). By controlling spending and cutting taxes,  we will make Minnesota a more appealing place to live, work and do business.
